Our Story
Newport Charcuterie began with a moment that didn’t look glamorous at all.
Alyssa Paine — born and raised in Newport Beach — was on vacation in Italy with almost nothing in her bank account, sitting outside a café with an Aperol Spritz and a notebook. Somewhere between the noise of the street and the quiet conviction she felt in her chest, she realized she wanted to create something of her own. Something beautiful. Something shared.
That spark became Newport Charcuterie.
When Alyssa flew home, she didn’t have investors, a kitchen, or a clear roadmap. What she had was an instinct for design, a deep love of gathering people around food, and a belief that even the smallest idea can grow into something meaningful. She started from scratch — assembling boards at home, delivering orders herself, and building a brand one customer at a time.
Three years later, that little idea has grown into Southern California’s premier grazing company. Newport Charcuterie now operates from a full commercial kitchen, has been featured on HGTV’s Flip or Flop, and supports a growing team that shares Alyssa’s passion for craft and hospitality.
And today, as a new mom to baby Beckham, Alyssa brings that same heart and creativity into everything she makes. Every board is more than a display — it’s a moment of connection, a piece of art meant to leave a lasting impression at every table it touches.
